Blog of the Week-Country Cooking

Thanks for visiting the Mom-Stuff Blog Tour sponsored by www.mom-stuff.com. We are so excited by your response to our tour and we have just gotten started. We are having so much fun and making so many new friends. We still have some open weeks if you would like us to tour your blog. This week as you probably know, our Featured Blog is one of our favorite cooking blogs, Country Cooking with Janille. Janille has been such fun to work with.

The post we have chosen to share with you today, is a recipe for making your own cereal. Yes, breakfast cold cereal. I tell you this mom is creative.

Bran Flakes
2 Cup Bran
2 Cup Whole wheat flour
1/2 Cup Nonfat dry milk powder
3 Tablespoon Brewer’s yeast (optional)
1 Teaspoon Salt
1/4 Cup Oil
1 Tablespoon Molasses
1 Cup Water

Combine dry ingredients. Make a well in the center and add oil, molasses and
water. Mix well. Divide into three parts and roll out as thin as possible on
greased cookie sheets. bake in 350 F oven 15−20 minutes, or until lightly
browned and crisp. If dough is not completely dry, turn oven off and let it
remain longer. Break into small pieces. Store in airtight container. Makes 1
lb of cereal.

Stop by Country Cooking and tell Janille thanks for sharing her blog with us. The mom-team will be giving away gifts to the people who make the most comments. You can make comments here, on Janille’s Blog, Tweeter, Facebook or other social sites. Thanks for being a part of www.mom-stuff.com your moms resource site.

See you again tomorrow.
