Blog Tour Visits Counrty Cooking

The Mom-Stuff Blog Tour is visiting Country Cooking with Janille this week. Janille is a small town country girl who loves to cook. Her blog is full of her family favorites, along with some recipes she has picked up along the way. ENJOY! We know you will enjoy her blog as much as we have. Every recipe we have tried has become a family favorite. Today we want to share her recipe for green sauce. I love this on breakfast burritos and Mexican chicken dishes.

Green Sauce

1 lb. fresh tomatillos
3 large jalapeno peppers, seeded
1 medium onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic
6 sprigs of cilantro, stems removed
2 cups chicken broth
1 Tbl. vegetable oil
Husk tomatillos and cut in half. Stem and half peppers. Boil tomatillos
and peppers in chicken broth for 10 minutes. Strain, reserving broth.
Combine tomatillos, peppers and remaining ingredients, except for the
oil, in a blender and mix until almost smooth. Heat oil in frying pan
until very hot. Add the tomatillo mixture and cook for 4−5 minutes,
stirring constantly until dark and thick. Add reserved broth to mixture
and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and cook until thickened,
about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.

We want to thank Janille, for sharing her recipes with other moms. We love learning from each other. Follow along with us on our Mom-Stuff Blog Tour. You will find great information and make some new friends. Make sure to leave comments. Remember mom-Stuff will be giving away gifts to our followers that make the most comments.
